IconX error when shutting down.

IconX.exe failed to load cuz windows is shutting down.

I get the following error when I shut down my computer....(loosely quoted)'IconX.exe failed to load because windows is shutting down' Anybody know what's causing this. I've uninstalled, cleared cache and reinstalled and still no luck.
It seems I used to have an option in IconX to have it start with windows and now that is gone also. I created a shortcut to iconx in my startup folder. I'm running WB4.6, ObjectDockFree, DesktopX and IconX through SDC.
Thanks.

i thinks it's tied into the losing the run at startup tab/option when dtx is running. Firedogs has a long post working on it a while back.

Thanks. So, Firedogs is a Stardock support team member and he is working on the problem? Or does Firedogs' post have a solution that I should go find?

Is IconX loading and fully functional otherwise prior to shutdown? Windows will give this error if an application is in the startup phase when attempting to shut down.

For example, if you press Ctrl+Shift+Escape right after selecting a shutdown option, windows will respond with that same message in regards to task manager.

No. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Firedogs Ron & Son Jose were having an issue which I think may be related with your issue. Theirs started with the run at startup tab disappearing when DTX is running at startup - which led to another post, can't find yet, that talked about doing the workaround of creating a shortcut to IconX in the startup folder which I believe led to your issue of the error message.I don't think it has been worked out yet. Here's the link to Firedogs post Link. Maybe something in there from Corky O will work for your situation. If you do a search for 'iconx' in 'forum' you'll get other links that may help. I'm at work now - heading for a meeting.
