Question: Are custom races supposed to get 4500 tech points to start?

That is a ton of points to spend on techs! Was that number a mistake? Why don't the standard races get any starting techs?

Boogiebac is on IRC saying its a mistake. I felt like it was giving me half the tech tree, I wanted to stop picking techs!

What annoyed me was that CTD bug when I went to save my race after picking them all. D'oh!
