One of the major enhancements in beta 3 is the inclusion of decent ship battles.

Note: Public beta 3 does not include ship textures so your ships won't look quite like this.

Combat does not look too good , better then GalCiv1 of cause but I think we need to open full screen window with combat animations (or better rendered battle) each time ships/fleets engaged in combat.

There will be a full-screen mode for fleet combat, but for ship-on-ship most people (myself included) would quickly get annoyed of such a feature.

Not likely.  And judging the whole of combat based on a still-frame screenshot is a bit presumptuous.
