Great snapshots, I like the lady robot. Also I like to see the autopilot function working. I have a question when basic factory is mention, does this mean that will be other kind of factories? I mean some kind of upgrade for factories as for starports?

Yep, there will be upgrades to all types of planetary improvements pretty much.

Nice, Brad! From the "Starship Defense" screen, I can see GalCiv2 is retaining its predecessor's wry sense of humor.

I also really like the planetary screens, both from a visual and UI perspective.

Good work guys !

Hope to see Beta 3 today

However keep in mind you have to make GalCiv2 more "alive" , the GalCiv I was fun but it has to be more "eventfull" , the more animated cuts the better and it have to be unique animations each shown once per game or may be not at all in some games, repeating same animations over and over again makes it boring.


About research screen :

1. Make the benifitst shown IN BIG on the screen ( like DEFENCE +1 for example in right window) for people that do not always read all details.

2. Make own picture or better sub animation FOR EACH research project as it was in original MoO.

Also please show such animation if scout ship finds some anomaly, GalCiv1 style small window is not enough )

Ghm... May I post a bug report here based on these screenshots? Well, not bugs really, but typos.

1. Second screenshot, description of prairie: The word 'district' is misspelled (you see 'distract' on the screenshot).
2. Fifth screenshot, first sentence: Should it be 'in the depths of space' instead?

You're right on #1 (I hadn't spotted it) but I think #2 is fine.

Looking good guys. Really hope to enjoy Beta3 later today.

I like Lord Kiron's suggestions. Should improve the UI and not too hard to implement I suppose.

Also, in the last screen shot, "high-densitive" should be "high-density". I'm gonna go out on a limb though and guess that text is a draft version...

Nice screenshots once again! Someday perhaps NeoTech Gaming http://www.neotechgaming.com will be listed as a site with screenshots and forums for Galciv II. We are not large enough yet I guess, I do think our site is a lot nicer then this one though.
