Problems with Silica set

OK, I just started using DesktopX, (Great BTW, very nice) and am using the Silica wedges that came with it, Namily the Calender, Network Monitor, and the Todo list (I might have downloaded the Todo list, i can't remeber) anyway, I was going throught the other Wedges on the site and came across, the C242 Silica set. I Downloaded them and ran them from the .zip, and then today when i loged on, they were gone, I guessed that was becouse i ran them as a solo programe and not part of the DesktopX programe theme. So i Put them into the Wedges Folder, and then Loaded them, but got a message saying that they share something with another thing i'm using, something about the Calander's close button i think. I also can't change the settings on the ones i downloaded either. the ones i want to use are c242 silica Hard Disk Monitor, c242 silica notes, and c242 silica Preformance. Searching the DesktopX gallery for "Silica" shows these, sorry about the lack of links. Anyway, this could be a simple problem, but as i'm new to DesktopX, and Coding makes my brain go numb, I think i should ask for help. OH I forgot to mention, that even if i unload the calander (BTW its the 2.0 version, done by the person who done the 1.0 one) and load the others correctly, i can't change any of the info by any means, ie by clicking the name of the wedge. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "change any of the info". If you mean the normal settings for the widget, then it should work. I tried the C242 Performance widget and was able to get the config dialog by left clicking the work "Performance". If you mean changing the properties of the object itself by right-clicking, then you will need to have DesktopX Standard or Pro, and be in Builder Mode. The Client only version does not support Builder Mode. Right-click on the DesktopX icon in your system tray, and if Switch to DesktopX Builder is an option, select it.

"The Package you are loading contains objects whose objectID is already used in the current theme (ID = Core_calender_closebtn). This could cause some issues related to the Movement and the Parent/children relations. you you still want to load it? Be sure at least that you fix the object IDs."

That is the warning i get, IN builder mode when loading a wedget.

By "change any of the info" i'm mainly refering the the 'c242 silica Hard Disk Monitor' I have two HDDs and it only shows C: and not C: and D:. The Image in the gallery for this items says to customise it, you left click the name,(It turns yellow on mouse over) and you can add more HDD's, I did this the other night, but wasn't loaded correctly (I Started the Wedget right from the .zip, not Unzipping it or anything) and now i get the error above. and when i do load it, I am changing the info for the calender, and the Network Monitor

BTW i don't know what version i've got, but it has builder mode, and i downloaded via the link on the Star Dock website.

Hi. The problem is You try to import the widgets as objects, for which they are not intended. The "Load Widget" option in builder can be clearly misunderstood as the builder imports the widget and makes it an object. As I didn't rename some elements all widgets use, bad things happen when trying to import 2 of the widgets and running them at the same time.

So You have to run the widgets, don't try to use them as part of a dx theme. BTW, some functionality is clearly lost, when running a widget as an object.

And : Be sure You have set the widgets to autostart in properties - appearance.

Thank You I wish I had more time to update some of them and make some more...

Making them able to be used with in a Theme would help ^_^, You might also want to make a note of that on the Discription of them "MUST BE RAN OUTSIDE OF DX THEME" ^_^
