Racial abilities climb from game to game.

After a few games without changing my race's abilities it looks like the abilities I had selected have increased with each new game I played. For instance, planet quality, which I selected as a +5, is now at +25.

Sounds funky. Not to mention buggy.

Wow, an undocumented feature! Your race evolves, gains more experience, and improves planet infrastructure as time goes on!

as time goes on!

No, as you go from one game to the next. It is only by using the new game function that they increase.

Well, that's sort of what I meant. In that each new game represents a new age...

wouldnt that be interesting to implement and not have it as a bug? i mean in the games you play you could have the races values go up as time goes on or for every good thing that you do your races abilities will be enhanced likewise

or you could have a system where races X abilities go up Y amount for every game won

just something that i thought might be worth looking into

Heh, nice "feature"... that means after about 7 or 8 games, anyone can take on masochistic level... Your bonuses will be so high that you never have to worry about anything...

Wow.

Everyone must be getting bored with the same old Beta 2 bugs if they are all jumping on a new bug report this way.

It must be just about time for Beta 3. Right Stardockers? Soon?

And the news did announce beta 3 as approximately 1 week away. Magic.

Surely that would get ridiculous very quickly and break the game balancing?

unless you have computer civilizatoins go up by same amounts...

but that would be tremedously hard to put in balancing so it is pretty much a stupid feature to put in it was really just some speculation....

I can't wait to see the Drengin evolve with a trump 8)

Same thing happening here. Not sure if its just the display or the stats are acutally changing.

On beta 2 the stats were actually climbing. I was getting higher quality planet increases with each game I played. I have not checked for this one on Beta 3 as yet.

Still happening on beta 3a (ver. 0.31). I took a snapshot and am sending it to Scott.

And some of the stats are going negative. Morale -50, diplomacy -10, etc..

I just discovered that this creep is happening to all races. So if you picked an economic bonus and another race picked an influence bonus, after several games, the other race may be able to win in just a few weeks.
