In a few days, we'll be closing the beta to new users.  Gamers will be able to pre-order at the discounted price but the beta will not be available again to try until late Fall.

Of course I have checked the "show prerelease" checkbox. How could I have downloaded the
first Beta if I didn't?
I don't see the new beta but when I start SDCentral there is a popup asking me whether I want to
upgrade GC2 to the latest version. When I choose 'yes' nothing happens.

After reading this statemenet that Beta2 is about to close I decide to follow "Frog Boy"s advice and preorder GalCiv2.

I got order confirmation that's right but no other information how to obtain the Beta2 release.

That means I am getting slightly nervious about all this.

Can someone tell me how to get Beta2 or do I need for Beta3. And if I wait when will I get it?

One more thing I do not a subscription and would be very unhappy if the answer would be: Get an additional subscription on top of the preorder and only then I can have the beta release!

I'm actually VERY disappointed with Stardock. I simply asked a normal question relating to the price of the BETA and I'm still waiting for a reply 11 days later. Surely it's not a difficult question. Doesn't make the potential customer feel appreciated at all.

if I understand correctly the following:
For instance, a user could pre-order Galactic Civilizations II for 5 tokens. Where the final game is expected to list for $49.95, TotalGaming.net members would effectively be paying $35 (half of the 10 tokens which cost $70 for all 10).

The reduction may be linked with the Totalgaming.net token value.

BTW, when looking here http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=GC2, you found that the preorder price is 44.95 when the final price maybe 49.95. Perhaps this is the discount (10%) that Frogboy was referring to.

Truth be told I haven't submitted my query to any email address, HOWEVER I have posted the question twice in two seperate topics where Frogboy has posted. My assumption was that at least one of the Stardock members reads the post and either directs me to the appropriate email address, or simply answers my question. Thank you Peace Phoenix for answering my question.
This all makes me think that Frogboy and Co. only visit the forums to start a topic or bring the lastest news, but never to answer a question posted by one of the users (I know there have been the odds times here and there however).

You need Stardock Central and a valid Serial number (GCII Or TGN serial number) to register into Stardock Central. After that, if the beta is available, it should appear
New TGN suscriber will need to use token to get it (ie purchasing the game with the token)

Well, not sure if comments in the news forum are read by Stardock. but I know that this forum http://tgnforums.stardock.com/?ForumID=139 is watched by some Stardock members, and especially Yarlen, who is dedicated to TGN.

I am in th e same boat as MARC0 P0l0. I have preordered GalCiv2 and I even though I have received confirmation I do not know how to download the Beta 2 Please help.
