SmartException Question

I am running SmartException but I guess I may not be all that smart. When I click on it in the system tray to open it I get the main screen with Submit Exception Report, Open Log Directory and all the other buttons. However, I can't seem to get it to do anything. My Stardock account shows that I have the latest version. Open Log Directory opens an explorer window to C:\, Delete exception log seems to work as does Delete all logs, but no other button seems to do anything. Even the Privacy Statement does nothing. Any ideas?

I don't know whether Open Log Directory is supposed to work, but I know that Submit Exception Report doesn't do anything; you have to attach the log to an e-mail. ([email protected] is where you should send SmartException Reports.)

My installation on Windows XP is located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\SmartException. It might be a different path if you're not using Windows XP, though.

Good to know I am not a Not-So-SmartException and that the UI does indeed not work.

The Open Log Directory button opens a standard window with the list of sub-directories and files of the directory where SmartException puts the crash log files. The name of the file for GC2 will be GalCiv2.exe.cra (name of the exe file with the added suffix "cra").

Hey Scott, Cari, or GR, the sticky thread with the bug submission instructions has come unstuck. Can you restick it please?
