Anomaly surveyed but survey ship did not move.

I tried to survey an anomaly that was within range of the initial survey ship in the first turn. The anomaly got surveyed but the ship did not move.

And the survey ship continues to show at its game start position, but I can't select it. It continues to be selected after surveying anomalies and I can auto pilot it to the next anomaly.

Now I have more things to try to see what the extent of this problem is. 1. What happens when I manually move the ship? 2). Can I send the ship to a spot in space on auto pilot that is not an anomaly?

Are you saying that the ship is traveling to ad exploring anomalies, but the graphic doesnt show any movement? I think someone else had a similar problem.

On the other hand, you might be saying that after the ship explores an anaomaly it asks for new orders. That would be normal, it's completed a mission and is waiting for new instructions. I don't think an 'auto explore' function has been added yet.

If you press 'A' it will auto-survey, just like in GalCiv 1.

Yes. The ship's graphic does not move, but the other affects of ship movement occur. The fog of war gets pushed out, the ship reaches and explores anomalies, etc.

It's there and worked on Beta 1. However, I was not using it on Beta 2. I was just ordering the ship to auto pilot to the anomalies one by one by right clicking on the anomalies.

Hey Jack!

I actually experienced this once in Beta1, but it hasn't happened since so I figured it got fixed somehow.  I'll put this on our bug list and try to find a reproducable scenerio

I have experienced the same thing with a regular ship (not survey ship) where:
1) Ship graphic does not move, but
2) Affects of a ship moving seem to occur
3) Ship cannot be selected by clicking on the graphic

It does seem like the "phantom ship" can be manipulated by using the Find button (if it has movement points left), despite the fact that it has not graphic associated with its real current position.
