Well you can download omni weather or tronnix, they have it so you can tyep in Chennai, India and it will recognize it. If you really like the one you have now you need to go to a weather site and go to the page that displays the weather for your area and copy the last 6 digits in the url I belive.....I haven't done that way in a while. I my self live in canada so I think more people should make them celsius compatible(thanx mike for the tronnix one being that way) and have them recgonize names.

I too live in Canada, in a very small community. Consequently the default setup of all the weather widgets won't connect/recognize any of the nearby towns which have weather reporting stations. Thus, I am VERY interested in implementing your recommendation above, but you don't say where you plugin those numbers from the weather website's URL???? I have the number(s) of those I would like to use. I tried putting them into the weather.ini file, but that didn't work.

THANKS!!

Hapkiko,
You should just be able to click or right click on the location name of the weather object and an enter location or zip code dialog will come up--place it there. If you have trouble with the code, try using whatever comes up at weather.com as that is the site used by most of the weather objects.

j dott,

Yes, and that is the problem, re: weather.com. Again, 1) I'm in Canada and 2) in a remote location, so consequently, those locations that do have weather reporting aren't available on the weather.com site, although they are available on the Canadian weather website http://www.weather.ca. What I was hoping for was a way to change this "script" being referred to so that it would access the Canadian weather site rather than what it is configured for now. As for entering zip codes.... no go since Canadian postal codes are 6 integers instead of the expected 5. And again, the location(s) that I want aren't recognized by the widget or on weather.com.
