For those of you in the beta, you're going to be pleasantly surprised (we hope) with beta 2 which is due out right after we get back from E3.  It has an entirely new user interface with a lot more usability integrated in.  We also are starting to flesh out the AI so that it'll be a more playable game.

Most of the main features of the game won't show up until the end of summer (star bases, debris, fleet battles, enhanced graphics, etc.) but beta 2 should hopefully show the direction we're heading.

Our goal is to make a strategy game that doesn't just look good but is as playable as possible. We want the game to always be center stage and your interaction with it to be seamless.

loking forward to the release of beta stage 2 taking a break from dreadlords for a moment till the next beta stage.

on another note will there be any credit for beta testers in the open beta test if so how many reports sent will include you in the credit for beta test

Does this mean that the ai is perfected?


Not for Beta 2, in Beta 1 the ai is almost non-existant, Beta 2 it might actually try to fight back

I hope some effort has been put into making it compatible to all common systems.
I still cannot colonise a planet without it crashing.

I would also like to see some credit like maybe our names in the credits or some =thin for the beta testers. or not, im just happy to be herje ' ')

i love E3 just as much if not more than the next gamer but i am so exited about beta 2 i want it to go quicker. i hope it lives up to my expectation. will there be textures in this stage?

You have to be back from E3 and you said immediately after E3 Gal Civ II beta2 would be posted. It is NOT posted yet.
