HI all,

I decided to boot up GC after a while away - in anticipation of the expansion. Since I last played GC i have switched monitors. I now use a 1280x1024 LCD (befor ei had crappy 1024x768 CRT).

MY problem is that GCs display area is shifted (uncentred) on my screen and a portion of the game area is off screen now. I could adjust the monitor controls; but then every other app/game would be in the same boat.

I really hate having to fiddle with the display everytime I boot up GC. Since I installed it as 1024X768 - is there a *.ini(and where) or setup file I need to mod to get the image centred again - permanently.

try to keep the refresh rate in full screen: start > run > dxdiag, more help > override... input value like 75 may solve the problem

I had that problem with Halo and it turned out to be because I was running the debug version of DirectX. I think that there must have been something that I was able to turn off from the control panel.

If you can't find something the directx control panel that can fix it, you could try running in windowed mode. But you'd have to switch to 16 bit color. If you want to try that, just make a shortcut to GalCiv with a w after the target.
