Announcing the Built-in Orderly Organized Knowledge device called BOOK.

The Book is a revolutionary breakthrough in power-saving, environmentally-friendly technology:
No wires, no electric circuits, no batteries, nothing to be connected or swiched on.

It's so easy to use even a child can operate it. Just lift the cover! Compact and portable, it can be

Here's how it works... Each BOOK is constructed of sequentially numbered sheets of paper (recyclable),

Opaque Paper Technology (OPT) allows manufacturers to use both sides of the sheet, doubling the
information density and cutting costs in half.

Experts are divided on the prospectsfor further increases in information density; for now BOOKs with more
information simply use more pages. This infinitely-expandable capacity can make them thicker and harder
to carry, and has drawn some criticism from the mobile computing crowd.

Each sheet is scanned optically, registering information directly into your brain. A flick of the finger takes
you to the next sheet. The BOOK may be taken up at amy time and used by merely opening it. The BOOK
never crashes and never needs rebooting, though like other display devices it can become unusable if
dropped overboard.

The "browse" feature allows you to move instantly to any sheet, and move forward or backward as you wish.
Many come with an "index" feature. which pinpoints the exact location of any selected information for instant
retrieval. An optional "BOOKmark" accessory allows youto open the BOOK to the exact place you left it
in a previous session - even if the BOOK has been closed. BOOKmarks fit universal design standards; thus,
a single BOOKmark can be used in BOOKs by various manufacturers. Conversely, numerous BOOKmarks
can be used in a single BOOK if the user wants to store numerous views at once. The number is limited only
by the number fo pages in the BOOK.

You can also make personal notes next to BOOK text entries with an optional programming tool, the
Portable Erasable Nib Cryptic Intercommunication Language Stylus (Pencils).

Portable, durable, and affortable, the BOOK is being hailed as the entertainment wave of the future.

Wow I just tried one of those devices and they are truly amazing! Imagine that, you can buy a book, read it (that's what the scanning process is called) then lend it to a friend and nobody will try to sue you!

Be warned though, if you grew up with a television set as your best buddy, some books may overwork your brain and lead to painful ideas poping up. If it is your case, you may want to avoid books with too many words and stick to those with pictures, preferaby hand drawn pictures.

Also, some countries will put you on a suspected terrorist list for buying certain books. Before buying a book in a foreign country, always make sure you are familiar with the political etiquette of said country.

Watch out for the forbidden BOOKs! Optical scanning can overload during download of these items, leading to increased heartrate and perspiration along with uneven breathing. An example of one of these items is PLAYBOY (Pornographic Layered Annual with Young Bodies Ornately Yielding). This particular BOOK is very popular and desired among younger citizens, although there has been an outcry of the moral wing for an age limit to this particular brand of BOOK.

Nope, I'm suspicious. What happens when you want to patch, or upgrade? Let's say the last chapter has the hero riding off somewhere, instead of finishing the story properly - well, you might have to buy a whole OTHER book to find out what happens! Let's see...no patch possible, no virus protection, no interactive video or soundtrack....and how the hell do you pirate it?!

It seems that research units at the Institute for the Advancement of Studies into Investigative Neural Interrogation Network Engineering here in Gofer City, Farside, New Nebula Sector, made what may be a major brearkthrough in our inquiries into the sentience of matter.

These research units – which prefer to remain unidentified at this time – claim the invention of a Bi-modal Relativistic Advanced-Interconnection Neuronal calculating device made of ‘organic’ matter – whatever that may be. It is stated in no uncertain terms by these research unit that this device may, at some time in the future, become capable of near-independent existence, provided that what these units term ‘minor engineering problems’ can be solved.

And, the mentioned units told this reporter, a Bi-modal Relativistic Advanced-Interconnection Neuronal calculating device, once series production maturity is achieved, will not be a stand-alone unit, either, but will come equipped with multiple peripheral devices that will greatly enhance its usefulness, e.g.
