Sorry need help here. :notsure:

I finished a game and was connected to the internet. My player name is also registered.
This same name I used in the game. No "submit" prompt came up. What I'm I missing here?

Okay, when you clicked the "Turn" button the last time and it started the End Game movie, it should have went to a Summary screen. From there, when you click on "Done", if you are connected to the internet, you should have seen the submit score screen.

Did the game go from the Summary Screen to the Main Menu?

That only happens when you are not connected to the Internet.

Do you have DSL? Some people with DSL seem to have trouble with it recognizing the connection.

I need to also find out what is going on. I have DSL, and I was posting mu games just fine, that is until the last few games. I have no idea what is wrong. I have finished three good, solid games, all of which apparently submitted successfully to the metaverse. Unfortunately, they didn't. I noticed in the past that when the score is being submitted, it took a couple of minutes. Thses last games were finished in mere seconds.

Any ideas?

Did you upgrade to Drengin.net, Jeff?

There was a bug where the wrong player name was submitting with the score.  Do you have anything in your debug.err file?  I think that my debug code got into the 1.13 update.

To your question Ray, yes I am in Drengin.net, and to Cari, I am not sure how to open the Debug file, as XP seems to not know what to use, but it was modified at the right time and day, so I would have to say yes.

Any suggestions?

Debug.err file is a text file. You can select any program that opens text files to open it.

I have found that I have to register the game again before i can submit the rsults, I upgrade to Drengin.net and seems to be sort of a conflict between Galciv number and Drengin number.

Did you do the synchronize thing? I saw it on the register player section.

No, I need to try that.

It is supposed to convert your old data to the new drengin number. I checked into it, as I am going to get drengin once I am sure my preorder for AP gets cancelled.

From the Metaverse Rules and Guidelines:

7) Updating your GalCiv registration to a Drengin.net registration. When your game is submitted your serial number will be submitted along with your score. All scores on the Metaverse are directly tied to your player name and your serial number. At some point if you upgrade to Drengin.net you will receive a new serial number. Once you have received this new serial number you should register Drengin.net on your system via Stardock Central. Then you should upgrade your Player Registration on the Metaverse to include your new serial number by converting your old scores to use the new Drengin serial. Because of the different serial numbers you must convert your old scores, submitted under your GalCiv serial number, to the Drengin.net serial number in order for both your old and new scores to show up together. On the Player Registration page there is a separate section for you to convert your serial number. Enter your Drengin.net serial number there and press the convert button. This action will change all your scores to use your new Drengin.net serial number and then change your player registration to use this number as well. From this point on all future scores should be submitted using the Drenign.net serial number and should show up on the Metaverse along with your old scores. If for some reason you have already entered your Drengin.net serial number but did not go through the conversion process don't worry. Just re-register your player with your original GalCiv serial number. Then return to the Player Registration screen and the conversion form will now be available.
