Being new to the game I have some questions about the whole empire thing. How many games need to be posted before one can join? I am currently working on my first full game. I have restarted a few times as I have learned after making obvious blunders.

Are there alignment requirements to join different empires?

Are the empire's members scores added together to have a "strongest empire"?

Just curious...gotta shop around

If anyone is curious I am currently heading down the "evil road" in my game.

You can join any empire even if you have not submited a game, but you must be register with Stardock to be able to do so, in your case I think you are, couple of empire require specific alignment I think, I know that the evil empire require for the player to be evil, but here in the Jedi Republic you can be either we have the Siths and The Jedi masters like good and evil right and wrong light and darkness but we both pull together for the cause of the Republic so come on and join us. The score of each player is divided in 2 groups the overall individual score and the empire score, usually your individual score is higher than your empire score, I don't know why? But all your points will add together to the other players of the same empire and your empire goes up or down according how the players have done.

Also you receive medals and bars according with your score, visit the metaverse column and you will see the legend box where tells you what kind of score is needed for each award. Also you can download the latest patches of the game by visiting the download section or by downloading Stardock and then get the monthly updates and newest patches.

Most empires are open and have no rules about who can and who can't join. To be a member of the Evil empire you must have and evil alignement, Special Forces is an invite only empire, so to become a member i guess one should ask in their thread on this forum.

1) You have to have an overall alignment of chaotic evil or pure evil (which you seem to be doing)

2) You must submit a game. (If you do join you have 1 week to achieve a victory and an evil alignment)

I have registered my game and have registered on stardock. I also have downloaded stardock central (very nice program, very nice).

I will be researching the empires as suggested (even though I am running as evil right now, I won't always be..I tend to role play based on my setup) but I am leaning toward your offer Admiral Mayito 7777

With regard to the metaverse... does one post all games or only winners? Off I go to check into it further....

I have been having fun though. Bankrupted very early in the first game. Gee, should have read the manual Restart, and *don't* just purchase ships... I am getting there. I have a very nice starting position in my current game with four very nice systems close to one another.
