ddrjm,

What type of file did you end up with after downloading?

If you are running Wndows XP, you may need to tell the OS to display the file extensions. You can do this by opening any windows explorer window and going to "Tools>Folder Options>View tab" and deselecting the "Hide extensions for known file types", then click "Apply".

You should now see the file extension after the "dot" in file name.

If you see a ".zip" extension on the downloaded file, extract it to the same folder you downloaded the file to, and see what is inside the folder. If you have a bunch of images, text files, etc., then you will need to change the ".zip" extension to ".dxtheme".

After verifying that you want to change the extension, you can just double click the file icon and the theme should load.

You can alternatively move the file to the "DesktopX\Themes" directory and then use the DesktopX configuration dialog to load the theme.

I have only tested and used this on the Object Desktop suite version of DX, so I am not sure of any slight differences in free versions if that is what you are using.

You will want to leave more detailed information about your computer's OS, the version of DesktopX you are running, and what is happening when you download if the above .zip explanation does not apply to your situation.

Someone is bound to drop by this thread to help.

Good luck.
