California isn't that bad to me, but I've lived there all my life, so I'm pretty biased. While I've never felt a really big earthquake (I was asleep when the 1989 one occured. I'm a pretty deep sleeper ;p ) there are a ton of little ones. In the past 7 days we've had two. I don't know why, but I kind of enjoy when we have em'... Also, while it doesn't rain most of the time here, our winters are cold and very rainy. Instead of snow, we get rain (:( . I'm from North California, so I also really don't have an idea about SoCal.

I've been to California, Los Angeles in particular. It was nice, but I wouldn't want to live there.

Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, and still a (disgruntled) Bears fan.

On Chicago sports, since the Cubs are no longer in it (not to mention the Red Sox), we probably don't have to worry too much about the world ending in the next week. At least not any more than normally.
