that's really odd

LOL i'm playing a new game now and is the first time i maybe able to win a tech victory:is only me,altarians(my allies) and the torians that are my friends so all is quiet and i can do a lot of research.but what i've seen there it's really odd thinking of what i read from this forum:the torian and altarians are allied but the torians were almost eaten by altarian influence(they have only 5-6 star systems-on medium).i thought they are doomed and i have to broke the allience with the altarians so i won't win a political victory but they surived(i was amazed)-they built in 5-6 sectors about 30 starbases with influence abilities.it's the first time i see an AI doing that but is just the right thing for me so i let them be

It might be nice to know the version number and intelligence level of the aliens in question so that a modest player like myself would know what evil alien plots await me in the future! My experience right now is limited to version 1.05 and mostly intelligent opponents (played against a genius Drengin once, but they don't build culture starbases very often).

Also Serafim, did they upgrade their starbases? Or did they just build lots of starbases with only one module?

i am playing the first version of the game because i can't upgrade my game-intelligence is only normal and they have upgraded they star bases at around 60% influencee bonus.i played a little further now and they almost stole 2 star systems from me.luckilly i won a tech victory first
