Boot Skin

I downloaded the bootskin program ran it, everything fine. I set it to a different skin... shut down computer, computer starts, bootskin is seen, COMPUTER RESTARTS 
....wont't load windows... Forunately i was able to go into Safe Mode and cnage it back... tried it w/ other skins still didn't work...same effect... any suggestions? if it helps, comp is: emachines, WindowsXP~Service Pack 2.. any other info needed, jsut ask me...
