Quick note to the council: I'm putting together the ranks page right now, and I'm going to see about altering the names of the ranks too (for the sith), such as jedi Healer becomes Sith Alchemist, etc. just so that things fit in with Jedi/Sith lore a bit better. Let me know if you guys object to this and I'll take them out of it.

I havn't decided yet.. if I get bored with the game can switch to beyond human anytime i suppose.

I don't think there should be such a huge scoring difference between the various victory conditions... OK cultural and alliance are easier but beyond human is almost as hard as a military victory with the culture win option turned off.

IF your name is not listed by 3 PM CST today 11-7-03, then it will not appear on the sample ballot.

Other issues to be voted upon, changing the required number of people with the maximum rank before a new system is devised. And the Constitutional amendment regarding returning Council seats to former (away) Council members.
NOTE: though Arcilte will be returned his seat along with the winners of this election, I have decided that this is an issue that could come up again and therefore needs to be decided upon. Reguardless of a Nay vote on this, Arcilte will still recieve his Council Seat.

So if your planning on running, get in the races!

Do we get to debate this before we vote? I think that a Coucilmember who leaves and then comes back would need to provide a reason for their leaving, and then the Council would vote on whether or not to let them back in the Council.

We also need to consider what would happen if he left right before an election, his seat was filled, then he wanted to come back later?



e107, the php/mysql CMS that I'm using on the jedi site, can do what it sounds like you're looking for. After users sign up, you can create and assign user groups. Then when you create a new article, news post, forum, etc, you can set a user group that has access to it. This way you don't have to mess with secondary logins, but all the epople that you want to have access have it (and you can take it away later if you want!).

You can download e107 from http://e107.org/ Before you install it you'll need to have alex set you up a database for it. If you have any other trouble just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

hmm that sucked... giagantic win on painful and I only get like a 1000 points for it.. oh well maybe the next win I can get my custom saber color.

but it was a beyond human win for you grekkan.. didn't realize the score penatly was Quite that high.... fully half or less than the points of a military victory...doesn't seem right.

Btw Anyone know why my score on my profile shows 48,000 but on the ranking board shows 53,000????

Everyone's score is always lower for the empire data, I don't know why?

Just in case everyone was wondering I'm still alive. The new patch for Diablo 2 drew me back from ascendancy and I'm thouroughly hooked. I know, I know whats he doing playing a hack and slash but hey its fun . I'm sure I'll be back to gal civ someday and I have no plans to leave the republic. Keep the metaphysical fires burning for me.
