The best freely available method for screen captures is the Prt Scr button on you keyboard. This copies the desktop to the clipboard, so you can paste as new image in your graphics editor. While most screen capture utilities fail to capture alpha-blended images, Prt Scr always works. (Ctrl + Prt Scr will capture the window in focus)

Wasnt that ALT + Prt-Sc to capture the Focused Window.

Anyway Prt-Sc is the best way (if you dont have a printer installed). But if you want a software you can always create your own. I did

? It doesn't matter if you have a printer installed or not. It will work either way.

My printer prints out whatever is on the screen by using the PrintScr-button, and I sure don't want that. I can't be the only one to have set up the printer software that way?

When you use the Prt Scr button, your printer starts working?

What's in the active window, that is, since that is a configurable option and I find it very convenient.

Thats what I thaught. I dont have a printer but the Button has a printer Icon on it. Then its just a genral guess that it will print the screen.
