Any recomendations ???

since i downloaded windowblinds and iconpackager my windows has becoem very slow is there anything i can use to boost the speed up or get rid of any junk i have?
I have got :
Ad-adware
norton
and spyware downloads...

If its not because of the downloads then does anyone know any good things 2 keep my pc at good speed downloadable and freeware?

hi....on this message board look at the thread....You and the Internet...some good quality programs that help keep your computer running well..
.....ps....those programs do not affect the perfomance of windows...so you need to clean out your computer

IconPackager is not running at all until you open it to change icons. It doesn't run in the background. WindowBlinds shouldn't slow you down, unless you're using a skin with lots of animation, or is poorly constructed. Does your computer speed upif you unload WB? Does changing skins make a difference?

What OS?
What speed is your computer?
RAM?
Video Card?

If you have a P2 366 Mhz with 64 Megs of RAM running Windows 98, then yes you mihgt experience a little slowdown with Windowblinds, but with a recent computer running XP it won't make a difference.

Yep, you probably need a different processor, more memory and a different operating system. You can't expect a supercharger to run properly in an edsel.

Just exactly where did you download icon packager and windowblinds from? If you got somewhere other than stardock you may have some other issues. Just trying to be thorough.

If you have windows 98 you cant download windowblinds can you...
As you download it you need to have windows 2000/xp but the author clearly says that its compatable with windows 98....


My guess is Paxx is probably close to on the money about your system and you are probably trying to run too much stuff for that old system. Also, like NT said in another one of your posts, try keeping all your questions about getting this stuff up and running in one thread, it's much easier to follow
