IE back button - How to I get it to go back 2 or more pages instead of one?

I don't know much about programming actual buttons but you could always create an internet shortcut and instead of using a URL, use:

javascript:history.go(-2)

Hey, that is close, but I have to click the button twice for it to take me back two pages. Clicking it once does nothing.

Hmm... it worked for me a second ago but now I've gotta click it twice too. Oh well, sorry. I blame Bill Gates somehow.

I'm not sure what version of IE you have. On my IE window, right next to the "back" button is a small drop down arrow. If you click that, you can the page you want to go back to. That'll save you from clicking that button one too many times

Yea, I know about the drop down arrow, but I am trying to go back 2 pages with only one click. I must avoid the two clicks at all costs!

The only time I've ever had problems with back buttons not will to take me back was during those pages that load itself into another page. I find those rather annoying, cause I usually end up having to push my back button many times. Then I end up a few pages past where I wanted to go... annoying, isn't it?

or, you can click on it and hold the button down and a drop down should display, then scroll to the back page you want.

If your mouse has a scroll button on it, hold down the shift key and scroll with it. (No clicking involved!)

Down = Backwards

just hit the arrow key on your keyboard twice.

with the amount of time you're going to spend trying to re code the button, all of the double clicks on the button for the next 5 years still wouldn't equal the amount of time of getting it to go with one click

What is the deal with clicking twice? Why avoid at all costs?

I like Opera. I hold down my right mouse button, and slide my mouse to the left to indicate I want to go back. I like that a lot

right click, click the drop down arrow, double click, arrow, slap it with a dead tuna fish

IE does what Opera does on that account.

But, yes I like Opera also and have run it since it's first release different periods of time, always have it installed.

right click back and pick from list, left click drop down arrow beside back button, double click or click the number of pages you wish to return, and the beat goes on.... yeah the beat goes one....
