A Program Idea...

I was messing around with my wallpaper changer and it dawned on me... That's what Stardock needs to do next... A program that automatically changes your windowblinds configurations at varied intervals(to be determined by the user) Because I see tons of people who change their configurations all the time, I.E the Screenshots section And I think it would be alot less difficult if we didn't have to change it manually... Which I will admit takes less than 30 seconds unless you don't know which skin you wanna switch to... HOWEVER, I don't know about everyone else, but I'm a VERY lazy person. Simply typing this message took me 2 and a half hours,4 bathroom breaks, one nap, and a lemon lime soda...

Except that that is not exactly what I meant, See the wallpaper changer of which I speak hides in the background and changes my wallpaper every 2 minutes, ON ITS OWN, and I never have to do anything once I have set it up... That's what Stardock needs next.

Stardock used to have a randomizer, so that every time you started up it would be a dif. wb..... Not quite what you thought of.

I don't know what happened to it. It was already gone by the time I got here.

I came across this post just as I was pondering making one myself. Reading this decided me. A very early build is available at http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/Downloadables/SkinRandomizer.exe

This displays all your skins in a long list (main skins and subskins) and allows you to group and save the names to a file. Then you can load groups as and when you like and set the timer to change randomly between them.

Bear in mind I only started writing this yesterday but any opinions/requests for features would be most welcome. This does require that Skinstudio is installed. If it doesn''t work for you please let me know so I can try to resolve the problem if it''s something my end.

Okay essencay, I tried the thing you linked to and it doesn't work, and is anyone able to make sure about that program powell says he made, because I downloaded it and before installing I noticed that it uses the same icon as the netbus patch, and that is never a good thing...

It's a Delphi app and uses the standard Delphi icon.

I'm using it but it doesn't seem to be working... I have XP an 80 gig hard drive the latest drivers direct x 9 (the total package)...
So what's wrong...?

Actually I think that it may be that, because I am currently in the process of purchasing the 04 version of Object Desktop because my version has expired... So right now I'm using the trial versions of everything. Also I have a couple of ideas for the program(which I must say is coming along very nicely) Is there any way that you could get the program to force cutom colour support on some of the skins but not all of them? Because I use some skins that look fine on their own but then I have other skins that I like to use custom colour on... And it wouldn't even have to be a wide variety of colors, just the basics, the reds, blues, and greens. Also I think you should skin the program to look like your Thredz windowblind, To sort of bring it to the next level and establish that it belongs to you? Well that's about it for now

OK. Latest version available has the ability to enable colouring per skin. Was simpler than I thought it'd be.

New update available at the same location http://pjpowell.dyndns.org/Downloadables/SkinRandomizer.exe . Now allows you to specify colorisation settings and enable colorisation per skin.
