Hibernate choice does not work

I added the Hibernate option under the power down options in Start11.  When I click it though, Windows 11 does not go into Hibernate mode.  My PC does not power down.

As a workaround I choose the Sleep option, then wake up Windows 11 by moving my mouse, then in that lock screen I go to the native Windows 11 power down button at the lower right and choose Hibernate.  The native Windows Hibernate option works as it should, powering down my PC, but retaining content intact when I later boot up the system.  So this work around works, but it takes extra time and keystrokes.

Could you please fix the Hibernate option in Start11 so that it sends the correct command to Windows 11?

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I checked on my system and Hibernate does work. For me, I need to turn on Hibernate in Windows Power options first: Control panel->Power Options->Choose what the power buttons do-> check if hibernate is listed and ticked, if not available->click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable."

Once that is done, refer to this guide to enable it in Start11 Start menu: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1426620417/Start+is+missing+hibernate,+sleep,+lock+options. Try that and report back if you still have issue.

Thank you,

It's not enough to check `FlyoutMenuSettings`. The visibility of the Hibernate menu item could be controlled by a GPO, which was my case. The Hibernate menu showed properly on the Win 11 power menu, but not the Start11 menu. I manually added the `FlyoutMenuSettings` entries and it worked, but shouldn't have had to.

I tried 47 different ways but was always blocked by "community guidelines" - whatever those are. That's why I ended up putting in a screenshot if the url in the bottom of the post. Best I could do, sorry.
