We do have chats here.We have 3 MSGBD's and about 5 or 6 chat rooms. Let me see if I can get someone to tell you how to get there. If you have the SkinBrowser or SDC it would be easy. All you would have to do is click on the chat button.

It is not a chat it is a forum. The chat it is the dialogue directly while the forum not.

Both Stardock Central and the WinCustomize Browser include integrated chat clients. By using these clients you are literally one-click away from being connected to a chat room. Set up is pretty much done for you. There is also a wonderful tutorial included, so no one needs to feel like a "newbie."

IMHO, this is a great feature that is under-utilized. You can not only get help if you need it, but it is a great way to feel a pert of the community.

The address of the IRC server is irc.stardock.com, port 6667. Go to the #WinCustomize or #Stardock channel. If you need help with Stardock products then go to the #Stardock channel.

BTW: You can download an IRC client from www.mirc.com and as far as I know there are versions in several languages. You sound like French. There is probably a French version too.

No. It is very easy to ban you as soon as I see you. The fun part is that there will be no discussion about it. See how easy it is?

There really isn't any moderation on the chats, we just police ourselves.If you start acting like a moron or start cussing then someone will kick you off with a warning, If you persist, then someone will ban you. Its that simple.

WOM is right. I just checked. In the last 315 days 5 people were banned. 4 for asking for warez. It doesn't occur often that the #WinCustomize channel needs "moderation".

I would estimate that hundreds of users asked questions, received answers or got help that they needed during that same time. All in a civil manner.

Kona, our chat rooms are great. No one is forcing you to use them, but they are pretty cool.

For me it is a thrill to hang out with skinners and developers and just listen to them trade secrets.

I HAVE used the yahoo and MSN chats.

anyone.  I have access to the main Stardock database that logs IP addresses
(that is how we can really ban people).  It doesn't take a rocket scientist
to figure out multiple logins

UzEE, if he is posting, is not using the same ISP as he was when he was on here as "UzEE".  So, we can't just go blindly banning people because they might be UzEE.  You're not UzEE, are you?
