SysMetrix - transparency?

I'm currently working on a series of skins that need a little transparency. I know it can be done, but how? I've saved the background image in .gif with Microsoft Photo Editor making white color transparent, but it doesn't seem to work...

I've noticed that SysMetrix is working with .bmp's - they don't normaly support transparency. Is it some color that default becomes transparent?

Color RGB(255,0,255) (a bright pinkish color) is most commonly used to mark areas meant to transparent for bmps, try that.

You should keep in mind, that transparent areas in Sysmetrix can't hold text (yet). Just a tip.
