Abstract Art Wallpaper Section

I still wish there was an abstract art section in the wallpapers. I like scenery, but there is too much in that section that isn't really "scenery" but there isn't anywhere else to categorize it. Dividing the categories would make a lot of sense.

Even so, there's an awful lot in there that doesn't really look like scenery to me either. Some people really like the abstract computer art. I prefer more realistic art/pictures. It's a personal preference, but a division of the categories would make the immense amount of wallpapers easier to wade through. There should probably be even more categories added as well...

ah, ok, I see what your getting at.

a more structured filing system.

I am not sure but I think it is the person who submits that decides on where they feel it should be place?

yeah, but if more categories are added people will have more of a choice of where to put them. i suggested "abstract art" because a whole lot of artists noted that they were just playing around and something cool resulted. nothing wrong with that, but at least an added "art" category would help to lighten the load of those in the categories which are so large it's hard to look through everything.

another category which might be a good idea is a "cartoon/comic" category. there are probably other categories that people could come up with. and we can already look at multiple categories at once.

my point is, the categories haven't changed since the beginning, and now the wallpaper section is so large, and most of the wallpapers are concentrated into only a few categories, so more categories would help to make it more managable.

also, with more categories, designers would probably be more likely to have their work looked at, especially if it's a wall that's been around awhile.
