Saved groups looks like not working in 1.1 (beta)

I save a group with different apps. Name it. Then close all apps. Then, using the icon in start menu or the option in the 3 dots menu, I click on the saved group. Nothing happens.

May be I´m missing how the new saved groups functionalty work?

Thanks.

P.D. Is there anyway to delete previously saved groups, or rename them?

Hello, I spent hours today with this problem. It is a software-bug, not your mistake.

Your saved groups you can find and delete in those folders:

C:\Users\your-windows-username\AppData\Roaming\Groupy
(the files within this folder with extension .groupy)

And in this folder where is linked to the above files:
C:\Users\your-windows-username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Saved Groups

Hopefully these files will function soon, such a nice feature if it would work.

Thanks for the tip, about where to delete the saved groups, brigitteolbrich !

I also hope the saved groups will work soon! A key feature for grouppy, I think.

I save a group with different apps.

Remember:

'-Adds : support for saved groups with Explorer, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to remember the location/files that were being worked on'

Those are the ONLY apps you can save at this time.

Indeed, those do work.

Advertisement for groupy shows adobe apps, txt.files and others in one group. Not being able to save such mixed groups is a real deficit, for my feeling, it makes the software much less worthy. Will there be a solution in the future?

What I for example intended to do with groupy was working at a project within one single place/window, even though i need graphic-apps, text-apps, google notes, different kind of files, when working at a single project .... but not having to switch through lots of windows, apps and files, so that real extreme better workflow would be possible.

Sure using Groupy without saved groups is also a nice help and makes work faster. But being able to save complete sets of windows as ready made groups for whatever purpose when using the computer, just one click and everything I need for what I intend to do now is open and ready, would bring Groupy to a real much higher level. I was so happy having found such a wonderfull software, well perhaps sometime later, that would be so nice!

Expanding on what can be saved in a group is part of the plan, yes.

Absolutly agree with you brigitteolbrich. I really like Groupy, make my computer´s everyday easier, faster and more organize, but saved groups just with Word, excell and Powerpoint has, at least for me, no sense.

Yes, for me no sense too, while the only Office-app I use regulary is Outlook, for all other kind of documents/files I use apps outside Office.
