Request for help in Taskbar Icons customizing.

Hello everyone.

After doing a long search without finding anything, I would ask if anyone would be kind enough to tell me if there is a way to achieve this effect (no transparency, no blur, no glow) without utilize the high contrast themes (on green icon was the cursor, but has not appeared in screenshot):

Size: 19.3 KB

I can not use the high contrast themes because, if I do, I have some graphics problems in Firefox and Internet Explorer (some pages are not displayed correctly, so (this is Google: no logo):

Thank you so much in advance for the attention you can give me and I greet you cordially.

And sorry for my really poor english (Google translate helped me).

Hi,

Do some blinds work p. example my colors of time skin ( its greyscale without hover effects) or other simple basic skins from others work ?

Is there any existing blind you would like to use? or do you request a new skin?

does skinstudio runs on your computer.?

Thats a lot of question i know, but you need to check that too.

If you have found a blind you like you may request the original author to make a small modification. If he declines you could do the "fix" for yourself with skinstudio for personal use only.

The Taskbar and Buttons can be Re-designed through "Skin Studio" software that comes with "Windowblinds" software by Stardock: https://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/

-Your "Google Logo not showing problem" and other similar issues has nothing to do with customization & looks like there's a problem with your system/pc. :cylon:

Hi,

neone in most cases it is indeed the internet connection or the web browser .  :cylon:

A nearly step by step  tutorial about how to do it you`ll find there:

https://forums.wincustomize.com/447931/page/1/

Open parts 54-5-6 folder and view  image 54 and 55 and perhaps 56.

Normally you did receive a sikinstudio 8 version with your window blinds licence.

If that version crashes at startup or you face any  other strange error during installation  you could try:

http://storage.stardock.com/files/SkinStudio7_free.exe

Hope i could help you.

SkinStudio Tutorial by Vampothika

Just so you know neone6 lives with Vampothika the nice Lady that wrote the tutorial. If anyone knows all about skinning it's the two of them along with a few others on here. Using SKS 7 has no advantage over using SKS 8. The only changes to SKS 8 were to add a couple win 8 areas for images and in the color section.

The tutorial however is great for anyone trying to learn how to make a Windowblind and has helped many people starting out.

I wondered your theme may be Msstyle but Windowblinds,if this was the case, you can only switch to another legible themes;modifying Msstyle required another prog but Skinstudio by Stardock.

Thank you all for your very kind answers.

The "google logo glitch" is a Firefox (and IE) bug with high contrast theme in windows 8.1:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=790706

Until now I solved using haigh contrast theme and Chrome for browsing.

I will read all your kind answers and I'll try to put into practice all your kind suggestions.

Many, many thanks
