Hello

I just bought this game from steam being a old fan ov civilization series and wanted to try something else in the strategy department.

Now I played one small game to learn controls etc and started my first actual sandbox game on the big Milky Way map Beginner difficulty. I started playing a tech/diplomacy/trade focused with only a small military. Now I have colonised about 7-8 planets and cash flow was just starting to turn up. Then what turned up was 2 huge ships "Dread lords escort m0" me and other civs are using small ships with lasers worth of 2-4 points attack rating and these giant ships with over 100 attack/16 shields come in and decimate all my trade routes, starbases and ships. WTH is this? Even if I had focused purely on military I can't see having comparable ships at this early stage.

after a small net search I figured this might have been a mega-event so I started a new game with mega-events unchecked but the game start info screen on most powerful civs shows dread lords as nr. 1 How can I get a game without them?
