Saving in Ship Creator

Is there such thing as too big?

Hola,

 

My wifey, bless her heart, has a talent for building starships. So I let her, she builds them BIG. Of course she doesn't play them, it's just for fun. But, so far, 3 out of the 5 she's build has caused the game to crash. Is there a known problem? I did some searching but couldn't find anything.

Hmm, sounds like the game might just be running out of memory.  It's 32-bit and as far as I know it isn't large address aware by default (but this can be enabled).  When you have a large number of parts on a ship it can have an effect on performance, but it shouldn't crash.
