to war!

i was playing a custom game as the altarian resistance,things were going fine early game...terrans were sort of snobish.

about 4ish hours into the game the terrans decide to declare war on me...so i took one of there planets next to one of mine,then basically all the rest of the races declared war on me for "war mongering" (or something along those lines ...some said they dont want to be next etc)  what gives? is this normal

 

also im new to this game, and playing the ultimate edition from steam....if that matters

They must not have liked you to begin with if they ALL doggy piled you for retaliating in war....

I've NEVER had that happen to me.

Were you, by any chance super advanced (more tech or military) compared to them?  Because that might be it.  They might be afraid that you will come for them next with your huge army/tech and are preemptively defending themselves.

  The Altarians with the "Super Organizer" special ability increases the chances of races with similar ethics "rallying to your cause".  I would expect some of them to declare war on the Terrans,  so my answer is...no this is not normal.  Perhaps they all had similar ethics to the Terrans.

  Read the reports on the races in the relations screen,  they also show each race's ethical alignment.
