Is there a way to disable tech inflation in TA?

I feel tech inflation in TA is terrible and that has caused me to not being able to play it ever since it came out years ago...

Is there a file I can modify or some mod already made so that I can disable it?  Or make it the same rate as in DA (I don't know if there's inflation in DA, but if there is, the rate is OK).

I think the inflation was scaled back a couple of updates ago.

I just played a game after years of not playing and it still felt very bad...  like first weapon tech went from 5 to 10 to 15 turns within like 50 turns...  And planetary assault went from like 20 to 45 in the same period.

The weapons techs still inflate, but everything else is much less affected (from what I remember).  I think inflation was looked at in 2.02 judging from posts around that time.

So is there some way or mod that I can use to stop the weapons from inflating?

The tech inflation rate is probably hardcoded so there's no way to mod it.  You can build more research facilities to keep your research progress reasonable, or you can play with a modded tech tree that reduces the base cost for weapons techs.
