Password too long

Hi!

 

So, I just bought Sins of a solar empire, and I needed to register an account. Fine.

However, to my surprise, I couldn't complete the registration. "Unspecified error 99" well that's helpful. I tried registering here first instead and got a more helpful error "password too long". What? passwords can't be longer than 12 characters??? This is really disheartening. I never use passwords that short. What gives stardock? Surely your databases can handle longer passwords, right?

 

I'm simply flabbergasted by this, it's really incomprehensible.

There is your problem, you cant use "incomprehensible" for a password, it is way too long. ;)

Are you the same person who posted earlier under a different username? Seems a bit odd to get two people in one day complaining about a 12 character password when previous years as long as I can remember had none.

Looks as though that thread was removed. Probably due to the number of different new users in it who all appeared to be the same person ;)
