When can we expect Galciv2 in Steam?

Available in Steam, finally?

As it appears Stardock is finally embracing Steam it'll only be a matter of time until Galciv 2 will be available on Steam.

This to the joy of many gamers (like me).

Stardock announced today that its PC strategy titles are hitting Steam starting with the real-time strategy hit Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity [...]

But is there any indication when this'll be the case or what the reasonable expected time will be?

We have not announced any plans for release of Galciv 2 on Steam

We are very happy we were able to release Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity on Steam so expect our newer titles to release on both Steam and Impulse in the future.

Well, the game has had a couple of patches recently. Given the shift towards steam as you've noted, I can only assume that they are making back-end changes in preparation for its release on Steam :p

Regrettably Steam is bad at keeping secrets

Great!
I bought it immediately. Nice price too :) (Well, same price as Gamestop, but a good price nonetheless).

If you bought the game before Impulse was sold to GameStop, your registration will be on the Stardock Store but unless it was GC2 Ultimate, it won't currently be available for download. Availability of older releases will grow as we approach the release of the new SDC, but for the time being you'll still need to use Impulse (now GameStop Downloader) if you have GC2 + expansions, GC2 Gold, etc.
