Object Desktop = Make Windows better

Got my brand new monster machine up and running. Now to start loading software onto it. First stop, Object Desktop. Now, I’m not saying you have to have Object Desktop on Windows to do work. I mean, I’m sure my aunt or mom could function without it.  Maybe. But for people who actually use Windows, I just can’t imagine functioning without it.

What order do you install Brad?

I go with WindowBlinds, DeskScapes, IconPackager, Fences, Tiles, .WindoswFX, KeyboardLaunchPad.

Then I can install everything else and feel like I can work.

Well, I found Stardock about a month or so after getting my first PC.  (2004)

I have not unloaded windowblinds since 2004.

I usually refer to my PC as my Stardock Box.

DX has been running about that long too. And CursorXP/FX.

And even though Win7 is fairly nice on it's own, I can't imagine not having ObjectDesktop either. I'd give up my nads before giving up ObjectDesktop....really.

I really need to renew my Object Desktop subscription. I used to use Object Desktop way back on OS/2, and it did indeed make life much easier. I've used it far less on Windows though.

Been using OD since the OS/2 days.  Couldn't live without it.  Just renewed last month, too.

I used to have quite a few of the ODNT progs installed on my XP machine (oh how I loved EnhancedFileDialog), but now with 7...it didn't need as much. Now it's just Windowblinds (with SKS for tweaking), OD+, and LogonStudio. I never saw DeskScapes as being anything useful or necessary.
