Hm, does anybody smell Multiplicity ?
Microsoft announces 'Mouse Without Borders'
Seems that MS has announced a tool very, very similar to Mulltiplicity.

Nice. You can bet I'll be giving this a look. My hope is that it will address a ctrl-alt-backspace issue that exists with MP running on 7/server 2008.
Great find c!!
There's 2 things that give me pause with this link.
1. It isn't a microsoft website. Yet it seems to claim a connection with Microsoft and "The Garage"
2. There's a "Free Scan" box that has inserted itself into that web page that I just bet isn't legitimate. Beware of "Free Scans"
try here BDBF http://blogs.technet.com/b/next/archive/2011/09/09/microsoft-garage-download-mouse-without-borders.aspx
edit:fixed my link
I had no such "free scan" box. It is a legit MS site. Technet to be more precise.
Well that link takes me to thewindowsclub. Upon rechecking the web page the "Free Scan" vert was a Google ad. Not trustable. Google doesn't research or verify their ads. I don't see anyhting like technet.com. I'm seeing thewindowsclub.com also IE9 is blocking popups on that page.
Ah, I see the problem now C242 posted 2 different links or they are now. The top external link is the one I mentioned. The lower See yourself link is technet.
I think it's legit, BDBF. It's on Technet and passes the "sniff test".
I do however absolutely agree with you about "Free Scans Scams".
Great find, Carl. ![]()
Wouls you also please check the upper External Link in the post to thewindowsclub.com. That's the web page with popup issues and free scan issues.
Yeah, big fishy banner (though nothing more thanks to noscript). Removed the link.
Didn't look there. checked the "See yourself" one. The external link might have been different... no longer there.
It's still legit software.
Thanks guys. You're always so helpful!
I don't know if this is a 'nice find' as I still think this is a theft of ideas.... Hence the header of this thread. I will continue to use MPC nevertheless as I find it more reliable and trustworthy for the future. I don't see MWB stay that long and we all know about updates to those 'power tools' MS employers have done in the past. At latest with a new OS they where dead at some point.
The Windowsclub site never did any harm to me. Maybe because I rarely see pop-ups and banners in my Firefox.
I don't think MP was the first to do this, just the easiest.
Well, as bad as I hate to say it. MOB does what it says, and it works correctly.
I love it!
