change color or background of navigation pane

hi everyone, im trying to find out how to change the background or color of the place where the favorites, the libraries , the home group and the computer devices are, at the left of the explorer, the so called navigation pane i know how to change the explorer background but this part remains white which is annoying

Note: that is for Win7 only. Doesn't work on Vista.

Also for the effect to work, you have to have some sort of graphics defined for folder bar.....it's not enough to just change the color in the Extra settings tab.
