Access is Denied

Any time I try to edit any file and put it in a mod folder it says my access is denied. I have unchecked read-only in the folder options. Is there something I am missing.

that sounds like something on your computer its not the game ive had that happen a few times and its always been a hardware issue.

You need to alter your permissions in windows. For some reason i have found that certain versions of windows lock the files to administrator rights only. If you have user accounts set up on your machine you will need to be running under one of the admin ones to alter the files.

Also make sure that no other instances of the program are running at the same time as that can cause the issue too, but to be honest it sounds more like an admin rights issue.

Fixed the problem. I couldn't edit files, but for some reason whenever I copy and pasted then edited the copy and then pasted into the mod folder it worked.
