Conversation Mod 1.1

I have update my mod with many more fixes and additional conversation, available here: http://www.i-mod-productions.com/dow...do=file&id=171 If you have an earlier version, please update it with this.

As with version 1.0, you must overwrite the existing conversation file in GalCiv2\Twilight\Data\English. MAKE SURE YOU BACK IT UP FIRST!

 

For those who don't know what this does, I noticed that because of a problem with priority in the conversation files, there is a huge number of conversations that NEVER get heard in game. (For more information, see here: https://forums.galciv2.com/367468 )

So, I spent many hours creating a work around so that these conversations appear in game. In addition, I also added some of my own additions, that I had been collecting over the years. The file I used was the one for twilight, so you will need that expansion for this mod.

Sounds good... but, how do I know it really works? 

 

If it does work, and it corrects a problem with dialogues, then why hasn't Stardock corrected it themselves?  Just wondering...

Knowing if it works can by tricky, as many of the conversations do not show up too often. However, the greeting text is the easiest to test. I gave the Korx a unique text when talking to anyone (before, it was just the humans), so that's an easy way to check. If it shows the normal evil texts, it didn't work. If you get something else, it worked.
