Question of Logic!

Hey guys,

Been playing the game for years now but only recently I came up with a very logical question?

How do 1 billion troops fit in a 1km long ship? How do the modules work do they make people smaller?

whats up with that, this is really bugging me!

Thanks in advance,

im nobody official but you could fit alot of people if they where asleep and stacked in beds for the whole trip...: I was in submarined ANd we fit 30 guys in the space of two large walk min closets for berthing......so if it ever bothered me..which it didnt until now :P  thats ghow i would explain it.

whole invasion/colonization force is asleep for entire trip except for small navigation and maintenance crew.

or maybe they are actually empty and just hold the genetic material to immediatly gestate a billion humans upon completion of the journey.....dont think theres enough time for that based on the fact you have a working colony almost immediately.

just some ideas...to me filling in the canonical gaps(if this is one I'm unofficial) is most of the fun o ngames like these. Thanks stardock for a great game :)

This is one of the points where function trumps realism. However, I am fairly certain that transported troops (and colonists, for that matter) are in deep-freeze for the duration. It would be less of a problem if invasions didn't involve wiping out the entire population of the planet, in which case less troops would be needed. That's another issue, though.

That's the only question of Logic you've come up with?  I come up with so many all the time that I'd be here forever posting them!  My biggest one, though, has always been: "How is it I start with a Flagship that I don't have the technolgy to have created in the first place?"

I guess it was a gift from Santa.  Too bad I can't simply reverse engineer it.
