Please help: Updating with stardock central - how to?

Hello,
Version: "Dread Lords", German copy.
I created an account, verified it, registered my GalCiv2 copy online, downloaded the stardock central software with the offered link and installed. During installation Stardust central setup tries an update and is unable to. (No firewall active, I've tried diferent times)
If I start stardock central after that, it logs into my account, shows updates for game/ tutorials and so on. If I try to download them I get an error, pointing to an invalid link.
