Breaking the ship designer

I think I might have somehow overloaded the ship designer but I'm not sure if I really have or it's just a bug. Basically I designed a ship from a blank huge hull and it ended up with seven rows of components. Yes I have too much time on my hands. Not the best design I've done, this is what it looks like without any modules:

And this is what happens when I try to fully kit it out:

EDIT: Why the fuck aren't these images uploading? They're only 300x300px...

EDIT2: Links'll have to do...

Cool ship.

There is a limit to the complexity of a ship, always has been. I doubt it is any different in the ship designer than it is in the game.

I don't know the exact number of jewelry pieces that a single ship can have, but I think it was mentioned once or twice in other threads. But if you have seven rows of components I guess you reached that limit.  :'(

(How many in one row, by the way? Because, it scrolls and I don't think I ever went beyond a single row.)

Each row is 25 pieces and the design above has 176. Shame, I'll have to neuter it.

I've tried compressing the design to as fwe pieces as possible whilst keeping the general shape but as soon as I reach the 7 row limit again I get the same problem. I understand now that this is a limitation not a bug, but I want to find a way psat it. Is there any way of expanding the pieces limit? I mean my computer handles the design as it is anyway.
