GCII - win7 - amd X6

GCII Ultimate - won't run

This starts with me building a new machine. New machine does everthing fine. Latest ATI drvrs (ati4290), flashed bios to the latest. mobo GA-890gpa-ud3h rev 1.0, up'd bios to f7b. AMD 1090t phenomII X6.  Res. set to 1680x1050 (recommended default). virt. mem 3325mb. Ran the GClang fix. Tried to run game as admin. Nothing helps. There is no debug.err file to be found.

Thinking it might be a bad copy (that used to work fine), I bought the GCII ultimate ed, impulse said it installed fine.

Tried again to start GC, gets as far as the red DL new/load/(ect) screen. Select a new game, the video attempts to start, then black screen, no sound,  win7 says game has failed then terminates.

I'm out of ideas, anyone able to run on win7 and a AMD(X6) ?  (I'm getting desperate for a Twilight fix.)   .....    thx guys!

If you're getting past the launcher, there *will* be a debug.err file under the game's folder in My Documents\My Games (it's a user folder so admin privileges or lack thereof won't prevent it from writing there). It should give some indication as to what the problem is if it's not a language setting issue.
