https://forums.galciv2.com/forum/349 is the Off-Topic forum that exists only on the GalCiv2, Joe User and Stardock sites.

As to "what happened" to it, nothing as far as I know. However what site do you usually view it from? Because that can make a difference. For example the Off-topic forum (i.e. forum/412) used to be visible on the wincustomize site but was removed because of user complaints.

Of course then some of the same users that complained about it had to visit some of Stardock's other sites to get their Off-topic fix (eh, Fuzzy?) but that's another discussion.

I believe xGhost is asking about the removal of the off-topic category that used to be visible at forums.elementalgame.com but currently isn't available. I can still see familiar threads via galciv2.com, but even trying some manual link-tweaking like https://forums.elementalgame.com/forum/412 does not show the OT threads with the Elemental site UI.

I've enjoyed wasting a fair amount of time in OT-land, but I have to say that the change makes the Elemental recent posts page much easier to scan for threads about Elemental.

That's ok. I popped on here the other day, I don't know what was going on, forum work, bad connection, something, but I could only get to the General Elemental part of the forums. I couldn't see the categories of the other sections of the forums. Oddly enough though I could get to the other sections by going through the "My Replies" links at the top of the page.

Later that afternoon when I came back to the forums all was normal. When it happened I went to other sites, Gamespot, a few others I visit, and they were fine as was my connection to them. I just chalk it up to more gremlins in the works here on these forums.

My advice, if you make a long post here on the forums and you know it's a conversation you want to take part in, make a copy of your posts somewhere so if the forums eat them later you can repost them.

That sounds very odd to me, at least from updated FireFox. As of now, I still don't see any Off-topic threads in My Replies at elementalgame.com, but they are visible if I'm browsing galciv2.com. It's been that way for me since the end of March. I never doubt the potential power of gremlins, but the consistency there makes me think that they are not actively involved.
