rejecting and accepting missions

I feel the current system is backwards..

you should automatically decline the mission after so much time instead of being locked into it.

the current system has me constantly looking at the mission screen even when i dont want to deal with any .

either that or there should be a small splash screen asking if you want the mission with the decline button.  that way i can make the decision without being pulled from the action.

why arent there small symbols for each player with the current relationship number next to it on the hud(the full screen could be accessed still from the top button too)

I want to watch the game not stare at menus all day

Don't think that would work, a reminder would be distractive and an 'auto-decline' will back-fire easily,

it wouldn't be the first nor the last time i complete missions within the last couple a minutes,

either stop caring about the penelty or decline as soon as you get the mission if you don't feel like doing it.

thats the problem having to get pulled from the game to decline.  if missons showed up as an icon under the pirate timer it would be much easier to keep track of and to manage the ones you would like to accept and decline.the accepted ones can stay up with the timer so as to not make you open menus to see that either

either stop caring about the penelty .

not caring about the pnalty makes the ai gang up on you.. Basically means play entrenchment instead

I guess i agree now with no autodecline . but would like the HUD changes still to make missions  and diplomacy less of a pain

they warn you with voice if they have a mission for you, at which you can either go right away to check it and possibly decline or wait a minute untill you have time to do so, keep an ear out for it, it also gives the tab at the top glow yellow when a new msision is offered, it just doesn't do it such a way that it becomes anoying when your into something at that specific time.

not caring about penelty doesn't make the ai gang up on you, it just doesn't, i don't care about it and i do NOT spam with envoys or give lots credits away and i don't get ganged up. It does make it harder to get to specific amounts of relationship needed for packs or possibly peace,

I totally agree with SwerydAss. I was going to adress exactly the same issue. so here is my opionion:

I would have appreciated the devs to add an "accept"-button, rather than "reject". I end up rejecting far more missions for I probably am a more defensive player. Having to reject EVERY mission you don't want to take on is really annoying as they come in constantly EVERY 5 minutes from EVERY AI-player. As a result you loose focus on the game-action. Or what's the deal with being penalized for simply not answering to mission requests... Devs really need to change that i. m. o.!

Having to accept instead of reject would have made far more sense IMO.  However, I don't see the problem with rejecting mission requests causing relationship penalties.  If you keep refusing to work with a certain faction, they should logically start getting annoying at you.

But have you noticed if an ai you sent on a mission relationship drops they say they need more incentive eventhough they should be really be locked into it (like you would of been) as there is only a few min till end of mission? i have its a pain.

I also agree completely with SwerydAss.
