Bug?

Game freeze after attacking bases and constructors

I've come across a bug that is more on the frustrating side. Occasionally my game will freeze after attacking. And it seems to happen only after I attack a base or a constructor ship (but I'm not certain). By freeze I mean I can not move any of my ships and I can not advance my turn, but I can move around the map, select ships and planets and change my planet and star port build queue. It will almost always fix if I save the game (even after the freeze), quit, restart and reload.

Any thoughts? Is this a known bug? Thanks for the help!

By freeze I mean I can not move any of my ships

Are you sure? If the game sticks at turn processing but the interface is still responsive, it is usually due to a ship not having exhausted all of its moves for the turn.

There are a mess of ships I could move, but none of them will. Or attack. I suppose there could be some deep computing going on and so things are only temporarily frozen, but I've waited over a minute with no resumption of the game.

The save/quit/restart/reload trick always works, though.

You might try to do the following:

Click "Find" (the button to the left of the "Turn" button)

If the game takes you now to a ship (that is probably stuck somewhere) hit "S" or "G" on your keyboard.

At least, this helps me occasionaly.
