Wait...what?

Has that every happen to someone? My advisors informed me that the Altarians are trying to win via technology. I quickly began to hinder them while trying to get it myself. I plant spies in their research buildings, I declare war on him and I sneeze in their general direction. Being the biggest military power in the universe let me.

And then, at last, I finish research Technology Victory and the next turn, I get a defeat screen. What? There should at least be a tie-screen...

Haha actually I´ve been defeated also by the Altarians by a Tech Vic (which was the only MV game I lost) but no, I was *far away* from winning.

What is strange about a Tech Vic is that it's "delayed" for one turn, that is, you research it, and then, still play another turn. So, the possibility could be there that the Altarians were, in fact, one turn earlier in finishing.
