I've been working on a mod for a few days now and haven't been able to make much progress due to the following issue:

(I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem or not.)

I created a mod folder and configured the game to use the files in it. I then modified the race xml and placed the modified version in the mod folder. The new race appears in the race selection menu however when I click next after selecting it I am brought to the "Create Custom Race" screen and My race has vanished. The AI can play as my race however, I can't. I have checked all of the file paths and everything is correct. There is no apparent reason for this to happen unless I am missing something.

Any help would be appreciated.
